France’s civil aviation directorate the DGAC has lifted its ban on Linhas Aereas de Mocambique (LAM), which forbade the Mozambique flag carrier from flying over its territory. Transport minister Dominique Perben committed the French government to publishing a blacklist of suspect airlines in August, following pressure for airline safety records to be made more accessible to the public. The LAM ban was rescinded after New York-based SH&E International Air Transport Consultancy conducted a safety audit in November. LAM says it plans to resume flights to Paris as soon as possible.
