PICTURE: Cargolux Boeing 747 Freighter nose damaged in Shanghai

The nose of a Boeing 747-400 Freighter was damaged at Shanghai Pudong airport yesterday after an incident on the ground (pictured below).

The Cargolux aircraft was damaged when the nose gear retracted while the aircraft was being serviced on the ground. This happened at 07:05 while the handling agent was preparing the flight.

The damage was mainly to the lower front area of the aircraft and needs to be further inspected, the company says.

The Luxembourgish cargo carrier has a fleet of 14 747-400Fs.
