Aircraft
Production is under way of the first major components for the AVIC I Commercial Aircraft ARJ21 regional jet. Xian Aircraft is responsible for building the ARJ21’s fuselage and wing, while Shanghai Aviation will carry out final assembly the aircraft.

The initial production version will be the ARJ21-700, and the first example of the General Electric CF34-10A-powered twinjet is due to be rolled out at the end of next year. First flight is scheduled for March 2008, with entry-into-service following in late 2009.
