Saudi Arabia nears Typhoon signature

Saudi Arabia could conclude a deal for at least 72 Eurofighter Typhoons before the end of this month, according to sources close to the proposed sale. Riyadh late last year announced its intention to buy the Typhoon under a government-to-government agreement with the UK, with this to include the transfer of an initial 24 aircraft from the Royal Air Force’s Tranche 2 production order. “Saudi Arabia is close to signing a contract,” says a Eurofighter programme official.
