FlightSafety International is planning to add five new simulators at its European headquarters by the end of the year, to cater for the growing demand for pilot training in the region, notably from sister company NetJets Europe. Since FlightSafety opened its Farnborough, UK base last June the fleet has doubled to six simulators and the company says it will expand to 28 as demand dictates. The simulators include a Cessna Citation Bravo, Beechcraft King Air 200 and Gulfstream IV. The first Citation Mustang entry-level jet will arrive next year along with either a Citation Sovereign and a G550 or a Sikorsky S-92 helicopter simulator. “The balance of simulators will be decided during the year,” says FlightSafety.
