Thales wins third Airbus A380 simulation deal, with Lufthansa

Lufthansa has contracted Thales UK’s services business to supply an Airbus A380 full-flight simulator (FFS), which is due to be ready to train flightcrew at the airline’s flight-training centre near Frankfurt Main airport in early 2007.

The order is the third A380 FFS for Thales, the others being from A380 launch operator Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Malaysia Airlines. SIA’s simulator (pictured below) is about to enter factory acceptance tests ahead of starting training in Singapore with an interim Level C certification at year-end.
