Used 747s find home at Oasis

Long-haul start-up carrier Oasis Hong Kong Airlines has acquired two used Boeing 747-400s, moving it a step closer to launching services.Oasis has purchased two ex-Singapore Airlines 747-400s from Deucalion Capital, which is owned by Germany’s DVB Bank.
The aircraft, which were built in 1989, are due for delivery in July, after which they will undergo maintenance. The 747-400s are currently in service with Iberia, which is wet-leasing them from Air Atlanta.
Oasis is aiming to launch services in September between its Hong Kong base and London Gatwick. It says it will offer fares substantially lower than the incumbent airlines operating between Hong Kong and London Heathrow.
