A US Marine Corps Bell Boeing MV-22 tiltrotor transport suffered major damage to the wing and right engine resulting from an inadvertent, apparently uncommanded, take-off followed by a hard landing during post-maintenance ground checks after an engine change on 27 March at MCAS New River, North Carolina. There were no injuries.
