Indian low-fare carrier Kingfisher Airlines last week took delivery of the first ATR 72-500 regional turboprop from its firm order for 35 aircraft plus 20 options. The airline operates Airbus A320 family aircraft and the smaller ATR 72s will be used on thinner routes. They will feature ATR’s “Elegance” cabin interior and Thales in-flight entertainment systems.
