Pictures: Boeing releases 787 interior shots showing spacious lay-out

Boeing has released some new images of the interior of its 787 long range twin. The manufacturer is hoping to convince airlines using the "hub-buster" that passengers will pay more for more spacious long-haul configurations.

Some of the innovative ideas are detailed below.

Boeing hopes airlines will adopt interiors that include sweeping arches, wider aisles and dynamic lighting (pictured above) to give "reconnect the passenger with the flying experience".

Boeing is promoting the use of feature-led cabin breaks (pictured above) to "provide passengers with comfortable, defined areas in more room-like proportions" to ease comfort on long-haul flights. The interior designers for the 787 have designed a larger, more open hall with sweeping arches that immediately direct the eye upward, to give the sense of space when passengers first enter the aircraft.
