SR Technics adds engine repair business
Maintenance, repair and overhaul provider SR Technics has completed its $10 million acquisition of Sifco’s Large Aero Turbine Component Repair business, based near Cork, Ireland. The addition to SR Technics’ portfolio will be known as SR Technics Airfoil Services and led by Jürg Bartlome, formerly division manager, parts refurbishment, at the company’s Zurich engine services centre. It will provide turbine-engine hot-section component repairs for blades and vanes on CFMI, General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce and Snecma large commercial engines.
