Bearing the manufacturer’s in-house livery, the A380 – number MSN004, the second of the two flight-test aircraft – touched down on London Heathrow’s southern runway 27L after arriving from Berlin, where the jet had been on display at the ILA2006 air show.

Prior to arriving at Heathrow the aircraft conducted a fly-past at the Airbus UK plants at Broughton in north Wales and Filton, near Bristol, before heading east to London.

During its time at the airport the aircraft will be carrying out compatibility tests at Heathrow which will include docking checks at Terminal 3’s newly-developed Pier 6.
