Ahead of Tunisia's clash today with Saudi Arabia in the FIFA 2006 World Cup football championship, a specially-liveried Airbus A320, operated by the country's national airline Tunisair, has seen in European airports.
The aircraft (TS-IMG) features players from the 2004 African Cup of Nations winners such as Radhi Jaidi, Hatem Trabelsi and Silva Dos Santos who scored 27 goals in his 27 appearances for the North African side. It has been spotted at London Heathrow airport (pictured below), Toulouse and in Munich, to where the players were flown prior to their transfer to the team's Bavarian training camp in Schweinfurt.
Tunisia's first game, kicking off today in Munich at 16:30 will be followed by fixtures against Spain and the Ukraine in Group G of the tournament.
The national carrier of Tunisia's opponents today, Saudi Arabian Airlines, will not feature images of played on its fleet due to the country's Wahhabite strict Islamic interpretation on the displaying of human likenesses and worshipping of false idols.
