Canadian spy case settled

Air Canada’s widely publicised lawsuit against WestJet for corporate espionage is over. The rival airlines settled the case with WestJet’s formal apology, reimbursement of Air Canada’s legal expenses, and a C$10.5 million ($9.5 million) donation to charities. Air Canada alleged that WestJet improperly tapped into a restricted website and used Air Canada load factor data for its route planning.
