British Airways (BA) passenger load factor was up nearly three points in June as traffic jumped almost 7%.
The Oneworld carrier’s traffic was up 6.6% in June over the same month last year. This was set against 3.1% additional capacity, helping to boost passenger load factor by 2.7 points to 81.6%.
June saw another strong performance in BA’s key premium traffic performance, which rose nearly 12%. Non-premium traffic was nearly 6% higher.
Cargo traffic was up 2.2% in June. BA says market conditions remain broadly unchanged, noting significant promotional activity is still required to maintain seat factors
