Defence Editor Craig Hoyle captured some of the highlights from this year's static display at RIAT on Saturday 15 July, with this including a strong presence from the Czech air force and a rare European appearance by a Royal Malaysian Air Force CN-235. In the air, a specially painted VC10 commemorated 40 years of service with the UK Royal Air Force, while Switzerland's F-5-equipped Patrouille de Suisse display team was joined by a Pilatus PC-21 for an impromptu flypast.
