Start-up air-taxi and management company Magnum Jet plans to launch services in the USA in 2008 with a fleet of Adam A700 very light jets (VLJ). The company, which is tight-lipped "for the time being" on its specific plans, has been formed by US businessman Jim Burns and US fixed-base operator chain Million Air.
Magnum Jet, which is to establish a network of sales representatives, has orders for 50 seven-seat A700s, earmarked for service entry in 2008, and options for 50 more. It has also placed orders and options for 100 Embraer Phenom 100 VLJs. Magnum Jet says it will operate as an "air-limo" service on select regional city-pair routes, with initial focus likely to be on Texas and the south-west.
