Three injured in partial roof collapse at Menorca airport

Part of the roof structure at Mahón airport on the Spanish island of Menorca caved in today, causing injuries to three construction workers.

The Balearic Islands regional government says building work is being carried out at the airport and the terminal’s metal roof structure was damaged by a build-up of water, although he notes that the roof did not completely collapse.

There were 20 people inside the terminal at the time of the incident, two of whom suffered “serious injuries” and another one who was less seriously hurt.
