NetJets Europe swoops for 7Xs

Fast-growing fractional fleet operator NetJets Europe is preparing to place another customary large aircraft order – this time for Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 7X.

French manufacturer Dassault and London-based NetJets Europe are announcing the order in Paris this week. NetJets began operations in Europe nearly 10 years ago, with seven pilots flying a core fleet of three Cessna Citation S/IIs.

Now the largest business jet operator in Europe, NetJets Europe today employs more than 600 crew to fly more than 1,000 European customers on a fleet ranging from the Cessna Citation Bravo to the Gulfstream G550. NetJets earlier this year said it planned to recruit around 100 pilots for a new tranche of business jets.

NetJets Europe operates 112 aircraft, of which 15 are Dassault types, including the Falcon 2000 and the Falcon 2000EX. Thirty new aircraft with an estimated value of $450 million are scheduled for delivery this year alone.

Dassault currently holds orders for 84 Falcon 7Xs, deliveries of which are set to begin in April next year.
