Execujet expands

Private aviation company ExecuJet South Africa is expanding its Lanseria International Airport, Johannesburg-based fleet with two new aircraft – a Bombardier Challenger 601 and a Pilatus PC-12. The company says the aircraft will support its “vision for on-demand aviation”. ExecuJet South Africa flight operations director Denis Crossley says that, in Africa, “travellers can no longer afford to stick to the limited options provided by traditional commercial airlines – they need aviation services that offer intercontinental and intra-regional travel options”.

PC-12 service hub

Switzerland’s Pilatus Aircraft has formed a dedicated service centre for the PC-12 single engine turboprop in Rand Airport, South Africa, where it sees “great potential” for the aircraft. Operations are set to begin in October.

Global debut

The Bombardier Global 5000 business jet made its debut last week at the Africa Aerospace and Defence Show. The aircraft landed in Cape Town as part of a 14-day African tour of 16 cities across 13 countries.
