First flight for CH-47F Chinook

The first production CH-47F Chinook helicopter made its maiden flight on 23 October from the Boeing Rotorcraft Systems facility in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. The same cockpit system installed on CH-47F and MH-47G Special Operations aircraft will be used in the HH-47 proposed for the US Air Force's Combat Search and Rescue programme.
