Despite attempts to gain a higher profile, scepticism continues over the future of Air Show China in Zhuhai.
There was excitement over orders for the indigenous MA60 and ARJ21 aircraft, and the prediction of a bright future for China's helicopter industry. China unveiled the L-15 advanced trainer, but there was no sign of its J-10 fighter. US and European military hardware was absent due to arms embargoes, but the Russians were out in full force.
