Bountiful boom for 'Red O2'

One of the first two Su-34s delivered to the Russian air force, "Red 02", is equipped with an enlarged tail boom never before seen on Su-27UB/Su-32FN/Su-34 family aircraft. The larger boom appears to contain an active stand-off jammer with a directional antenna mounted on the rear of the protuberance. The smaller boom used on previous versions normally houses the aircraft's electronic warfare self-protection suite.
