VIPs roll up for Airbus corporate airliners

Airbus has received a handful of orders for its VIP airliners, with Swiss VVIP charter operator Comlux ordering two more Airbus A318 Elites, taking its total orders for the type to five. The latest deal seals Comlux as the joint largest Elite customer, along with an unnamed operator.

The first aircraft is being outfitted by Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg, Germany and is to be delivered in the second quarter.

Airbus has also received orders for VIP versions of its A340-500 and A340-300 from unnamed customers and an A320 order from the Oman government.
