NBAA 2008: Dassault ramps up customer service

Dassault Falcon (Booth 235 and static display) has announced three new additions to its US customer service offerings at NBAA.

A new 20,000sq ft spares distribution center has opened in San Jose, California in a joint venture with UPS. The San Jose facility will serve the growing West Coast base of Falcon operators, with same day, overnight or self-pickup of parts. The center will stock more than $34 million in high-demand parts by year-end and complements distribution facilities already in operation in Johannesburg, South Africa, Sao Paulo Brazil and Dubai.

Frank Youngkin, vice president of customer service and worldwide spares says: “Getting our customers the parts they need, when they need them is at the forefront of everything we do. We’ve dramatically increased our inventory levels and are seeing a corresponding reduction in delivery times.”

Dassault Falcon will also extend the ordering deadline for next day delivery to East Coast operators to 10pm Eastern Standard Time.

Dassault has also now completed its expansion of its Little Rock Completions Center with a new four-bay state-of-the-art 66,500sq ft paint hangar. The $20m Little Rock expansion has grown the facility to 897,000sq ft and includes a new production and design area, more warehouse space and a new flight line.

Finally, the OEM announced that it has streamlined its specifications and contracts departments, headed up by Carlos Brana in Teterboro. He says: “The ultimate goal is to ensure that the customer’s experience during the contract and specification process is smooth and that we deliver their aircraft correctly configured and on time.”
