AMX INTERNATIONAL
AMX International is a joint venture between Brazil's Embraer and Italy's Alenia Aermacchi. The concern has secured orders for more than 200 Rolls-Royce Spey-powered AMX aircraft from Brazil and Italy. These have been supplied primarily for use as light strike aircraft, although 40 platforms from this total have been produced in the two-seat AMX-T trainer configuration.
Venezuela is the only export customer to have ordered the system to date, and is due to receive four AMX-E combat aircraft and 12 AMX-T trainers from this year.
