Rolls secures double Trent order

Double order for Rolls-Royce Trent

Aircraft lessor CIT Aerospace has ordered two versions of the Rolls-Royce Trent engine family in a deal worth up to $560 million.

The agreement covers Trent 1000s to power two firm and three optioned Boeing 787s and Trent 700s for four firm and seven optioned Airbus A330s.

The deal for the Trent 700s includes an order for engines to power two A330s placed by CIT with the Hainan Airlines Group of China.
