The UK' BAA (formerly British Airports Authority) has removed the popular model of Concorde which has graced the entrance to Heathrow airport for 16 years after British Airways decided not to renew its rental agreement to use the location for advertising.
Travellers used to passing by the 4/10ths scale model of the British Airways Concorde as they enter the Heathrow tunnel will be disapponted by the move. According to a recent flightglobal poll, 71% of respondents wanted it to remain.
The model has been donated to the Brooklands Museum at Weybridge, Surrey
