The Qatar Airways Airbus A300-600 involved in a hangar fire at Gulf Aircraft Maintenance (Gamco) on 19 April was completely destroyed (Flight International, 24-30 April). The cause of the fire - which also resulted in damage to an Air Mauritius A319 and a Kingfisher Airlines A320 - is under investigation. Gamco says its maintenance operations are continuing as normal.
