Dassault's Falcon 7X ultra-long-range business jet has entered service following delivery on 13 June to Gilbert Chagoury, co-founder and chairman of industrial conglomerate the Chagoury Group.
The aircraft, MSN5, flew non-stop from Dassault's Little Rock completions centre in Arkansas, USA to Paris Le Bourget. Chagoury was the first 7X customer, placing his order in November 2001, five months after the aircraft's official launch.
The next 7X, MSN4, will be delivered to company patriarch Serge Dassault following the Paris air show. The 7X orderbook exceeds 165 to date and Dassault is preparing to deliver 20 aircraft this year and around 40 in 2008.
