Qatar Airways has signed for three more Airbus A380s and firmed a contract for the purchase of 80 Airbus A350 XWBs.
The additional A380s make it a total of five of the aircraft type for the Middle East carrier. Qatar is due to take the first of its two A380s already on order in late 2010.

The contract for the purchase of 80 A350s XWBs firms up the memorandum of understanding Qatar signed at the end of last month for the aircraft. The contracts were signed during the Paris air show today.
Under its A350 order, Qatar is taking 20 A350-800s, 40 A350-900s and 20 of the largest member of the family, the A350-1000. Deliveries of the A350s begin in 2013.
Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker says: “Both the A350 XWB and A380 offer unbeatable operating economics and their performance and range will allow us continue the rapid development of our network.”
