Goodrich to monitor 777F cargo doors

Goodrich has been selected by Boeing to supply a cargo door video monitoring system as standard equipment on the Boeing 777 Freighter.
The system includes an operator display and control panel located in the flight deck crew rest area and three cameras. Two cameras are located just insided the cargo door, and the third is mounted on the leading edge of the left horizontal stabiliser. The system is designed to enhance ground personnel safety and prevent damage to the aircraft. First delivery to Boeing is expected in early 2008.

“By preventing damage to an aircraft, our video monitoring system will save cargo operators time and money. We can help keep their aircraft in operation and keep their freight moving,” says Jan Mathiesen, vice president, Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems.
