The Bombardier Learjet 60XR has entered service with Los Angeles-based Cloud Nine Aviation, nearly two years after Bombardier launched the 60XR programme and almost six months later than initial deliveries were expected.
Based on the Learjet 60, the $13.3 million 60XR features a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite, certificated in October 2006, and a redesigned interior. The avionics package includes four 8 x 10in (205 x 250mm) LCD displays, communication, navigation and surveillance radios dual FMS-5000 flight management systems, solid state weather radar, and the Collins Integrated Flight Information System, which features electronic charts and optional graphical weather, and enhanced maps overlays.
