Helicopters
Sikorsky demonstrated its S-76 helicopter for the first time in the Czech Republic late last month as it seeks to boost the sales tally for the medium twin aircraft in Europe and expand its business ventures across the region. The flights took place at Aero Vodochody's factory near Prague, where nearly 160 S-76 airframes have been built since 2000.
Sikorsky says: "The demonstrations in Prague highlight Sikorsky's growing presence in Europe, which includes the recent acquisition of PZL Mielec in Poland. Sikorsky is actively exploring business opportunities for strategic European partners for component manufacturing and service centres for the entire product line."
