The Airbus A380 landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates for heat testing.
The A380 paid a short visit to Abu Dhabi International Airport on 29 July, landing at 9.22, and took off again 10min later.
The visit was part of a week-long engine testing and pilot training programme from its selected base at Al Ain International Airport. Abu Dhabi International Airport will have a second runway operational by March 2008 which can accommodate all wide-bodied aircraft, including the A380.
Airbus was testing the Engine Alliance GP700-powered version of the A380.
