Boeing has flown the first of 10 ultra-long-range 777-200LR widebody twinjets ordered by Dubai-based Emirates Airline in 2005 from its Everett factory near Seattle.

The Middle East carrier already operates 28 stretched 777-300ERs with another 31 on order, and has committed to take eight -200LR-based 777 Freighters.

All of these aircraft are powered by General Electric GE90-115B engines.

Rounding out Emirates' 777 fleet are 12 Rolls-Royce Trent 800-powered -300s and three -200s.
