PICTURE: Boeing delivers its 3000th widebody to Korean Air

Korean Air took delivery of a Boeing 777-200ER (Extended Range) from the aircraft manufacturer's Everett plant in Seattle on 27 August.

The Everett plant, which is 40 years old this year, has built and delivered 3,000 widebody aircraft including the 747, 767 and 777 models.

Korean Air takes delivery of Boeing 777-200ER in Seattle

Korean Air has a fleet of 123 aircraft which includes 13 777-200ERs, four 777-300s, 24 747-400s and 21 747-400 Freighters. The airline will use the new 777 for long-haul business routes to the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.

Korean Air also has 35 additional aircraft on order from the Everett programmes including 777-300ERs, 777 Freighters, 747-8 Freighters and 787 Dreamliners. In addition, the airline has four 737s on order.
