Cessna is beginning flight testing of winglets on the Citation X high-speed business jet. Designed by Wichita-based Winglet Technology, the elliptical winglets are expected to improve the Mach 0.92 aircraft's hot-and-high take-off and climb performance as well as its range at high altitude. Winglet Technology is aiming for supplemental type certification in the second quarter of 2008. The winglet-equipped Citation X is on static display at the NBAA show.
