Images of the landing run of the Iberia Airbus A340-600 badly damaged in an overrun accident in Ecuador on 9 November have been broadcast by a local TV station.
The security camera pictures obtained by Ecuavisa show the aircraft arriving above the runway, touching down and entering its landing roll.
The aircraft's thrust reversers do not appear to be deployed, although the precise location of the cameras along the runway is unclear and the use of engine thrust is not necessarily required to make a safe landing.

Ecuador has set up an accident inquiry to determine the cause of the overrun at Quito International Airport but has yet to disclose any preliminary findings.
