Singapore firm Jamco Aero Design and Engineering has secured the first supplemental type certificate to be issued under a recently signed bilateral aviation safety agreement between the USA and Singapore.
The STC granted to Jamco Aero Design and Engineering is for cabin interior reconfiguration work on Boeing 747-400s and it was “made possible under an expanded bilateral safety agreement” signed last September, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) says in a statement, confirming that this is the first STC under the agreement.
The agreement means the FAA now accepts certain STCs issued by the CAAS, it says.
