Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCAC) has released pictures of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 prototype performing its first engine runs this month.
The first start-up of the Superjet's PowerJet SaM146 engine took place at SCAC's far-east division plant at the Komsomolsk-On-Amur Aircraft Manufacturing Association (KnAAPO) as part of "the first-flight preparation campaign", says the airframer.

The Superjet had originally been scheduled to fly before the end of 2007, but its maiden flight has slipped and Sukhoi has not said when it is now likely to take place.
