Aircraft interiors EXPO: Mezzo magic the younger flier

London-based turnkey IFE supplier Mezzo is to offer Cartoon Network content on the e.Digital eVU handheld devices that it supplies to its airline customers.
The deal will enable children to watch episodes of shows such as Ben 10, Skatoony, Johnny Bravo and Dexter’s Laboratory. “Our portable IFE system is great for kids, allowing them to choose exactly what they want to watch,” says Mezzo chief executive Dave Sampson. “And the ability to position the player at eye level is a clear advantage over overhead or in-seat screens.”

The Mezzo service has been adopted by British corporate and VIP charter operator Titan Airways, TUI Group charter carriers Arkefly of the Netherlands, Jetairfly (Belgium) and Thomsonfly (UK), British low-cost carriers Flyglobespan and Jet2.com, charter operator XL Airways and transatlantic premium-only specialist Silverjet.
