Aircraft interiors EXPO: IWG being clever with water

International Water Guard is unveiling its new generation ‘intelligent’ water treatment unit, IWG-A4 as well as announcing the development of a new family of device controllers for water system components.

The IWG–A4 is lighter in weight than its predecessor and the company says it is more robust, both physically and electronically, too.

“We literally went back to the drawing board to create an ‘intelligent’ water treatment unit and the result was our new IWG-A4,” explains chief executive David Fox. Fox says that the IWG-A4 has an enhanced self-monitoring capability, while producing adequate ultraviolet light to disinfect the aircraft’s water supplies.  “We also saw the need to develop our own electronic control modules to drive the many diverse components such as pumps, valves and heaters that make up a complete water system.  This provides greater opportunity to expand our systems to other aircraft types,” says Fox.
