The first Mooney Acclaim Type S has been delivered after its introduction last October. "It was certified last week and delivered to our first happy customer," says chief executive Dennis Ferguson. The aircraft is the third Mooney for Illinois dentist David Craddock. Meanwhile, enhancements that added 5kt to the Acclaim's top speed - including a lighter three-bladed Hartzell propeller, composite nose-gear doors with improved airflow, and airflow-enhancing seals under the wings - are being added to all Mooney models.
