First 777F enters final assembly

Boeing mechanics last week began final assembly work on the first 777 Freighter at the airframer's Everett, Washington facility. Flight testing is scheduled for mid-year in anticipation of a fourth quarter 2008 delivery to launch customer Air France. The aircraft, based on the 777-200LR Worldliner passenger aircraft and built using the same production line as all other 777 models, promises greater range and capacity than any other cargo twinjet.
