Singapore Technologies Aerospace (ST Aero) has secured a supplemental type certificate (STC) from the US FAA for its Boeing 757-200 passenger-to-freighter (PTF) aircraft conversion offering.
ST Aero says in a statement that the STC was developed in-house using original licensed data from Boeing. In 2001 it started 757 conversions for DHL but that was with a Boeing-licensed STC.

The new STC is for the first of 87 757 conversions which a US-based division of ST Aero will be carrying out for FedEx under a contract announced early last year.
“ST Aerospace’s STC is the only 757-200 PTF STC based on Boeing’s data,” it says.
“From induction to approval, this STC was achieved in 11 months, a relatively short amount of time.”
