OpenSkies 757 emerges

The first Boeing 757-200 for British Airways' new OpenSkies division has emerged from the paint shop equipped with Aviation Partners winglets. The airline, created to take advantage of the EU/US open skies agreement that came into effect in March, is due to begin services in June flying between New York and Paris Charles de Gaulle.

However plans could be impacted by a potential pilots' strike. OpenSkies will take two 757s this year configured with a 82-seat three-class layout: 24 lie-flat business class seats, 28 in premium economy and 30 economy class seats. By the end of 2009 OpenSkies should operate six 757s.
