Isle of Man carrier EuroManx suspends operations

Isle of Man-based regional EuroManx has this morning announced it is ceasing operations, citing increased fuel costs and reduced passenger numbers.

EuroManx, which operated a pair of Bombardier Dash 8 turboprops, has been flying for the last five years on domestic routes from the Isle of Man.

But a statement on 9 May says it is ceasing operations and will operate no further flights.

“Over the last six months a number of factors, including rising fuel prices and reduced passenger numbers, have proved to be insurmountable obstacles to the airline being able to continue to operate,” the airline says.

EuroManx was serving Belfast City, Liverpool, London City and Manchester airports from the Isle of Man.
