SkyTeam alliance member Air France has ordered four more Boeing 777s.
The orders, revealed on Boeing’s orders and deliveries web site, were previously listed in the unidentified customer category of the site. Specific variants have not yet been disclosed.
According to Flight’s ACAS database, Air France already has standing orders for five 777-200LR freighters and 13 -300ERs, as well as options on three more freighters and one -200ER.
First delivery of the 777 freighter to Air France, the aircraft’s launch customer, is expected by year-end.
Boeing has also added 30 new unidentified orders for 737s. The new sales increase the company’s order book through 27 May to a net 408 aircraft, consisting of 79 787s, 36 777s, two 747s and 291 737s.
