Fatalities are being reported after a Sudan Airways aircraft, apparently an Airbus A300 or A310, crashed on landing at the Sudanese capital Khartoum.
The aircraft is said to have been arriving at Khartoum after a service from Damascus in Syria, via Amman in Jordan.
Television images from the scene show the aircraft’s fuselage completely engulfed by fire. Local reports indicate it was carrying over 200 passengers.
